Conectar a área social ao espaço de lazer era o grande desejo desta família. A tarefa parecia fácil não fosse o amplo programa solicitado frente às pequenas dimensões e formato do terreno.
Considerando a inevitável verticalização de seus vizinhos, todos eles colados às divisas, o primeiro passo foi inverter as fachadas, pensar o projeto “ do avesso”, como se retirássemos uma luva.
Portanto, quando trouxemos os caixilhos para dentro, pudemos usá-los à exaustão, tornando o interior extremamente aberto, em oposição ao perímetro externo completamente fechado.
Em seguida posicionamos dois pátios que funcionam como as áreas externas da casa. Além de proporcionar luz e ventilação natural, trazem também qualidade espacial e articulam os ambientes.
Outra decisão foi o posicionamento dos dormitórios no pavimento térreo, normalmente destinado aos ambientes sociais, e assim subimos o “térreo” para o pavimento superior.
Esta medida proporcionou para o pavimento íntimo, dos dormitórios, maior privacidade e silêncio. Para o pavimento social trouxe a integração com a laje de cobertura, usada como área de lazer, e assim portanto, não ocorrendo a interrupção pelo pavimento íntimo.
As soluções para este projeto são resultado de uma estreita e bem sucedida relação entre arquitetura, paisagismo e estrutura.

Connecting the social area to the leisure area was the main desire of this family. The task seemed easy if it were not for the large program requested in the small size and shape of the terrain.
Considering the inevitable verticalization of its neighbors, all of them glued to the borders, the first step was to reverse the facades, to think the project “inside out”, as if we were removing a glove.
So when we brought the frames in, we were able to use them to exhaustion, making the interior extremely open, as opposed to the completely enclosed outer perimeter.
Next we place two patios that function like the exterior areas of the house. In addition to providing natural light and ventilation, they also bring spatial quality and articulate environments.
Another decision was the positioning of the rooms on the ground floor, usually intended for social areas, and so we climbed the “ground floor” to the upper floor.
This attitude gave the intimate pavement, of the rooms, more privacy and silence. For the social floor brought integration with the top balcony, used as a leisure area, and therefore, not occurring the interruption by the intimate pavement.
The solutions for this project are the result of a close and successful relationship between architecture, landscaping and structure.
